Ashland Place

Primarily constructed between 1923 and 1927, Ashland Place homes were originally offered at twenty-five dollars a month to lure first-time homebuyers. The area was parceled off of the Los Olivos subdivision, which includes the Alvarado and East Alvarado neighborhoods. Unlike those, however, Ashland Place was built with much more modest homes on smaller lots. The architectural styles range from adobe Pueblos to European country cottages.
