Cheery Lynn

Located just west of 16th street, the Cheery Lynn district was parceled off of a subdivided tract of land known as Beverly Heights. The original homes were designed by William Fosberg and Marion Carr, and were conceived to be "English-type homes…of the very latest designs". Fosberg sold off his holdings shortly before the Great Depression hit Phoenix and the rest of the neighborhood was completed in a more modest fashion by the Federal government. So today, you're likely to find English Tudors next door to Transitional Ranches; it's all part of the diversity that is Cheery Lynn.
