Margarita Place

The Margarita Place neighborhood was originally intended as an exclusive development in the "most ideal location in the city" according to an ad in the 1927 Arizona Republican. Construction was planned on a grand scale for large homes with ornate features. But, after World War II, more affordable homes were constructed to meet the needs of returning soldiers and their families. It was designated a historic district in 1999.
