Windsor Square Historic District of Phoenix

The Windsor Square Historic District includes 260 properties. Originally platted in 1929, it has a mix of housing styles and streetscape character. The subdivision design combines popular features of the English Garden City and City Beautiful movements, including flood irrigation for lush landscaping, sidewalks, curbs and ornamental street lighting.

This is a great example of the change in architecture/building styles from the Period Revivals of the 20s and 30s to the many variations on the Ranch Style, post WWII in that housing boom.
